New Lone Hanks and More

The Lone Hank Hamper has been replenished at the Port Adelaide Markets Sunday SIOz shop. It was looking a little sad last week. What’s new in there? More hand-painted bargains (mine and some others that you might want to grab). the commercially-dyed bargain hamper has also been replenished and includes more sock yarn. There’s more not shown in the photo.

For the bling-lovers, here are some belated photos of the metallics in stock. There are some lot-end balls at a ridiculous $4.99 per ball. The thinner yarn (25om per ball!) is metallic lurex, the slightly heavier yarn is a light dk, 90% viscose/10% lurex (approx. 150m per ball).

If you’d like to any of these metallics and you can’t get to the Port, please email or ring, as the colours are whatever is in stock. There’s a great range of colours, blues, pinks, golds…

Badda BLING!

The big news of the week, besides the first club packs of the year going out, is that I made a big dent in the backlog of dyelots that needed to be run. So, first up went the ltd edition lace weight — an incredible blend of mohair and merino. It’s a no fuzz, soft as you could want yarn from the brothers at Kraemer Mill. It came back with me from the US. There are two lots, a lovely purple mix and a green I’m calling CORK.

More 4ply/fingering weight wools: Several sock lots are drying, including a killer purple mix (similar to Dark Orchid Tofutsies below) of the very special Stranded Silk Sock, and a wild mix of Free Trade Sock, the ohsosoftandsquigy 8-strand 4ply/fingering.  Once the lots are dry and ready, I’ll post photos.
